Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager - Electrical to join our Building Services Team located in Central London.
Reporting to the Operations Manager or Project Director, you will effectively and professionally lead the day‑to‑day operational management of large‑scale, multi‑disciplinary commercial projects, including design, procurement, installation, logistics, compliance, commissioning and project handover, within the Skanska JV building construction team. You will ensure delivery to time, commercial performance, governance, and Skanska values are met during all phases of the project’s delivery to the satisfaction of the client.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure full compliance of design, engineering, construction and commissioning processes.
* Add value to the design process by challenging solutions, methods and techniques to deliver works within the contract programme, improve buildability and reduce whole‑life costs.
* Develop and administer controls on the project or workplace and ensure full implementation and compliance.
* Lead lessons‑learnt and collate for future projects.
* Understand, develop, scrutinise, deliver and monitor end‑to‑end programme; set milestones and key deliverables; lead implementation of overall project plan; create a Plan B.
* Control commercial and contractual aspects applicable to the project, scrutinise financial forecasting and CVR, and create and manage profit‑improvement plans.
We’re looking for
* Experience managing project teams working on large commercial schemes in London and surrounding areas, with a combined package responsibility value of circa £25 M.
* Appropriate knowledge and experience to manage multiple disciplines/interfaces and sequencing of work.
* Proven track record of successfully delivering large‑scale MEP contracts to time and within commercial constraints.
* Formal H&S training accreditations, minimum SMSTS.
