Electrician
Location: HMP Ford, Ford Rd, Arundel, West Sussex. BN18 0BX
Salary: £40,579.20 per annum (includes £1000 RRA per annum)
Contract: Permanent – 39hrs per week – Mon‑Fri
We are seeking a dedicated, fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Ford, an open adult male prison.
As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from various trades, contributing to the safe and secure operation of a self‑contained prison community.
Qualifications
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL) including relevant NVQs and competency assessment (AM2/AM2S); for example 2367 or 2357.
* Two years’ experience as a fully qualified electrician
* Experience working with commercial or industrial electrical systems
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
* Good health & safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
