DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL: Estates Department JOB TITLE: Health & Safety Advisor - Training, Engagement & Culture SALARY & HOURS: Band 4, £36,074 - £46,810 pa. depending on experience 35 Hours per week Monday to Friday Full time - Permanent Contract Estates Department Are you passionate about influencing people, developing safety culture and delivering engaging training that makes a real difference? The University of Buckingham is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to help drive positive safety behaviours across our unique and diverse university community. This is not a desk-based compliance role. We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging with people, delivering training, supporting departments and helping staff and students develop the knowledge and confidence to work safely. You will become a trusted advisor across the University, working alongside academic departments, professional services teams, contractors and senior managers to embed a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility. The Role * Designing and delivering engaging health and safety training programmes. * Advising managers and departments on health and safety matters. * Supporting inspections, audits and compliance activities. * Developing guidance, policies and awareness campaigns. * Promoting best practice and continuous improvement. * Supporting risk management initiatives across the campus. What We're Looking For: Somone who: * Has experience within a Health & Safety advisory role. * Can confidently deliver training and presentations. * Enjoys working with people and influencing positive behaviours. * Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills. * Is proactive, organised and solutions-focused. * Holds, or is working towards, a NEBOSH qualification.
