The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Secure Network/Server Engineer to support a fully segregated server environment. You’ll build and maintain an isolated, high‑security network operating under strict ITAR and export‑control requirements, working on‑site in an accredited secure facility.
This role suits someone who is confident working in restricted environments and enjoys owning the design, configuration, and operation of secure systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, configure, and manage a standalone secure server/network environment.
* Implement firewalls, access controls, VLANs, and secure routing in line with ITAR policies.
* Maintain connectivity between the secure server and the aircraft test rig.
* Administer, patch, and harden Windows/Linux servers.
* Ensure compliant handling of U.S. export‑controlled data and system access.
* Troubleshoot server, network, and test rig integration issues.
* Produce and maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and audit materials.
* Manage privileged access, authentication, and security logs.
Experience Needed
* Strong background in secure network engineering or server administration.
* Experience working in defence, export‑controlled, air‑gapped, or classified environments.
* Hands‑on experience with isolated network builds and secure architecture.
* Familiarity with test environments in aerospace/defence (desirable).
Skills Required
* Proficient in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
* Strong knowledge of segmentation, VLANs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure routing.
* Ability to harden systems and follow cybersecurity best practice.
* Solid understanding of secure access management.
* Strong problem‑solving skills in high‑security, process‑driven settings.
* Clear and disciplined documentation skills.
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Relevant certifications (Security+, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, CEH) are beneficial but not essential.
