OSIL Logistics Coordinator
OSIL is a leading supplier of meteorological and oceanographic (Met Ocean) equipment for offshore and coastal engineering applications. Operating on a global basis from Hampshire, UK, we offer environmental monitoring solutions through cost-effective, high quality and technically advanced equipment.
Position
Due to continued growth, and in order to better serve the increasing needs of the business, we are looking to recruit a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to the team at OSIL. The role will undertake the day to day logistics associated with shipping goods to over 100 countries globally.
Responsibilities include:
· Planning and monitoring inbound and outbound shipments.
· Coordinate the dispatch and delivery of goods through third-party carriers.
· Negotiating and securing transportation rates.
· Coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and transport companies.
· Interface daily with Sales and Production to work on order management and troubleshooting
· Maintain clear Contract awareness, terms of delivery, payment etc
· Tracking and fixing shipping errors.
· Preparing and maintaining detailed logistics documentation and reporting in line with HM Customs requirements.
· Complying with all transportation regulations.
· Manage the application and accuracy of Customs Procedures associated with shipments.
· Generating Certificate of Origins and collating supporting documents where necessary.
· Analyse logistical problems and develop new solutions.
· Continue to improve logistical efficiency.
Position Requirements
* Attention to detail, and good organisational ability
* Knowledge of international shipping, customs, duties and VAT etc.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to handle the flow of information and data securely and confidentially.
