Senior Technology Internal Auditor
Hybrid / London office based
Salary c.£65,000 + bonus + benefits
Astrum Search is delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s most respected research foundations to recruit a Senior IT Internal Auditor.

You’ll play a critical role in delivering the annual technology audit plan, providing independent assurance over key risks and controls across the companies digital and technology landscape. Your work will support the Board and senior leadership in their commitment to robust governance and technological excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Execute end-to-end IT audits across the companies technology environment – from planning through to reporting.
2. Perform detailed risk-based audits covering IT operations and financial systems.
3. Identify and evaluate key technology risks and develop practical recommendations to strengthen controls.
4. Draft clear and concise audit findings and monitor progress against agreed actions.
5. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, offering guidance and constructive challenge.
6. Support non-audit activities such as committee reporting, KPI monitoring, and methodology development.
Skills & Experience:
7. Proven experience delivering IT audits, either in-house or from a consultancy background.
8. Knowledge of IT control frameworks aligned to SOX and risk management principles.
9. Experience in areas such as cloud platforms, SaaS solutions, cyber security, data warehousing, and third-party management.
10. Familiarity with data-driven auditing and analytics tools is highly desirable.
11. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
12. Professional qualification such as CISA, CRISC, CISM or CISSP preferred.
