About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveQuality Assurance Engineerto join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, comply with British standards, and align with internal technical specifications. You’ll play a key role in maintaining quality throughout the product lifecycle from supply chain oversight to final documentation while driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and enhance quality processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Oversee supply chain quality to ensure materials and components meet specifications; address non-conformances effectively.
* Review and manage project documentation in line with client requirements and internal quality systems.
* Lead root cause analysis and implement preventative actions for non-conformances.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards and proactively identify areas for improvement.
* Collaborate across departments to share best practices and support a culture of quality.
* Apply Quality Risk Management tools to identify and mitigate potential issues.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation and lifetime records.
* Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
* Manage calibration systems to ensure accuracy and concurrency.
* Liaise with inspection and production teams to ensure timely sign-offs and delivery.
* Raise and manage NCRs related to customer returns, supplier issues, and internal discrepancies.
Scope & Development
* Build knowledge through audits and contribute to process improvements.
* Support and participate in continuous improvement and training initiatives.
* Contribute to local quality programs and cross-functional projects.
* Help identify training needs within the quality team.
What You’ll BringEssential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
* Solid understanding of industry regulations, codes, and standards.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
* ISO 9001 / AS9100 Lead Auditor certification (preferred but not essential).
* Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
