Main duties of the job
* Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
* Deputise on behalf of the Head of Healthcare when required
* Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
* Model a culture of compassion, assurance, respect and empowerment
* You will coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
* Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally
* To advance innovative ideas and strategies and provide vision and inspiration to enable staff to deliver care more effectively.
* To ensure open channels of communication with both internal and external agencies to achieve a co-ordinated service to clients and their families.
* To have and further develop a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to deal with a range of highly sensitive and emotive situations
* To develop robust effective communication systems to enable all members of staff to liaise with external organisations/bodies as required.
* To develop a communication system that ensures the flow of information to and from relevant meetings and forums.

About Campsfield House IRC
Campsfield House IRC is a secure facility currently designed to accommodate up to 160 male residents in both single and dual occupancy rooms. The centre houses a combination of time-served foreign national offenders and immigration offenders while the Home Office arranges their removal from the UK.
Residents are not permitted to leave the centre or access the local area. Consequently, recreational, educational, healthcare, living, and faith-related facilities are provided entirely onsite.
The healthcare department provides a range of services including primary care, mental health, substance misuse, pharmacy, dental, optometry, physiotherapy, podiatry, and audiology delivered either by us or our specialist partners.
Join us at the beginningYour role will be a pivotal post as we head to going live, therefore, this role will be starting earlier to provide local leadership and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders. During this period, you will be inducting new staff, setting up the clinic rooms, agreeing systems and processes internally and externally, working with the centre operator to agree protocols, supporting scenarios, and much more.
