The Role
Join Sotheby’s innovative social team to create compelling social‑first video content for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X, and other platforms. You’ll collaborate with the Global Head of Social Media & Editorial, the global Video and Social Media teams, marketing, and specialist departments.
Responsibilities
* Shoot and edit compelling video content for Sotheby’s social media channels.
* Interview specialists to capture them at their best and most engaging selves.
* Extract highlights from long‑form videos to create engaging short clips.
* Experiment with formats, narrative structures, and editing styles, including archival B‑roll and graphic overlays.
* Identify trending or new content formats to drive growth and engagement on each social channel.
* Maintain cross‑functional alignment, communicate clearly, and execute programs on time.
Ideal Experience & Competencies
* Minimum three years creating and editing social media video.
* Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects).
* Proven track record of engaging, shareable, thumb‑stopping video content.
* Knowledge of latest video formatting for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms.
* Analytical, curious, and creative, constantly improving skills in the evolving digital media space.
* Understanding of social media reporting and applying data insights to content.
* Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities.
* Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
* Collaborative, able to work cross‑functionally with colleagues at all levels, using diplomacy and tact.
* Positive, can‑do attitude and enthusiasm to be part of a critical team.
