Veritas Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-to-One SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Key Stage 1 with an EHCP for non-verbal autism, based in a welcoming primary school in Lancaster.
Role
* Providing 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with non-verbal autism
* Supporting communication, engagement, and emotional regulation
* Implementing strategies in line with the pupil\'s EHCP
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
08:30 - 15:30
Term Time Only
What We\'re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with autism (ideally non-verbal)
* A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Experience using communication tools like Makaton is desirable but not essential
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are advantageous
