Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK-based organisation in Manchester City Centre that is seeking to appoint an experienced Interim Group Finance Director on an initial 6-9 month contract. Based in Manchester city centre, you will work a hybrid model (three days a week in the office).
This opportunity is ideal for an immediately available Finance Director or senior Group Financial Controller looking for a high-impact role with clear temp-to-perm potential.
Salary/benefits
* £600 - £800 per day (inside IR35)* 6-9 month contract* Hybrid working (3 days in the office)
Job Duties
* Lead the Financial Control & Reporting function, ensuring complete, accurate and timely management and statutory reporting for c. multiple legal entities and the consolidated Group.* Own the monthly, quarterly and year-end close; produce Board packs with insightful variance analysis; establish and enforce consistent accounting policies * Prepare IFRS-compliant statutory accounts and manage the external audit timetable, issues log and clearance to secure an unqualified opinion.* Redesign and embed a robust internal-control environment, including a balance-sheet-reconciliation programme and SOX-style governance where appropriate.* Forecast liquidity, optimise cash headroom and covenant compliance, and liaise with banks on facilities and reporting.* Oversee UK corporate tax, employment taxes, VAT and customs; manage advisers and HMRC relationships.* Mentor and develop a UK finance team and provide functional leadership to an overseas Finance Shared Service Centre.* Act as finance lead on ad-hoc transformation and systems-improvement projects during a pivotal turnaround phase.

Ideal experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).* Proven track record as Finance Director or Head of Financial Control in a complex, multi-entity environment.* Demonstrable turnaround or "fix-it" experience, including identification and correction of material accounting misstatements.* Deep knowledge of IFRS, group consolidation, treasury, tax and audit.* Proven leadership of on-shore and offshore/SSC teams; able to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.* Exceptional stakeholder-management and communication skills.* Experience with ERP and reporting-tool implementations
