Job Title: HR & Business Manager
Salary Range: £47,575 – £55,188
Location: Tottenham (with flexible/hybrid working options)
Contract: Initial 3 month contract, potential of permanent role, Full-time
The Role
As HR & Business Manager, you will lead and manage the Corporate Services function, providing strategic HR support, business operations oversight, and first-class advisory services to senior managers and staff. You will play a vital role in shaping a high-performing, inclusive workplace culture while ensuring that the organisation’s HR practices are legally compliant and people-centred.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality HR advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle, including absence, performance, recruitment, learning & development, and organisational change.
• Manage and support the development of a streamlined and integrated employee lifecycle process, from recruitment through to exit.
• Collaborate closely with senior leaders to develop and implement key initiatives such as performance management systems, training programmes, and new-starter induction.
• Act as the liaison point for accessing central HR services and systems (e.g. Oracle HR), and prepare monthly HR data reports for leadership.
• Support line managers with recruitment processes, performance reviews, learning plans, and case management.
• Oversee business support functions delivered by Executive Assistants including meeting coordination, minute taking, and diary management.
• Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and continuous development across the organisation.
You will have direct line management responsibility for an HR Adviser and be expected to nurture their development, ensure effective delivery, and build strong working relationships across all levels.
About You
You’ll be a credible and experienced HR business advisor who thrives on collaborative working. You will bring:
• In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with confidence working with HR data and systems.
• Experience managing complex employee relations casework (absence, capability, grievance, employment tribunals).
• Practical knowledge of restructures, TUPE, redundancy, and organisational design.
• A passion for employee wellbeing, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Strong influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience in the public or not-for-profit sector (desirable).
