Principal Contracts Engineer – Spirit Energy
Join us in leading contract management that delivers value across all Operations, including Logistics spend. The role works closely with the SCM team, senior internal stakeholders and external parties.

Key Responsibilities
* End‑to‑end Contract Lifecycle Management: Provide deep knowledge and ensure value maximisation throughout the contracting process.
* External Market Expertise: Serve as the SCM subject‑matter expert for assigned categories and contracts.
* Team Contribution: Identify improvement opportunities, coach peers, and stand in for the Line Manager when required.
* Contracting: Source, evaluate competitive tenders, negotiate with major suppliers, and manage risk and resilience.
* Continuous Improvement & Value Delivery: Identify and achieve significant cost‑saving targets and improve supplier engagement, performance, and compliance.
* Safety and Compliance: Identify operational and regulatory risks, maintain accurate records, and secure the required information systems.
Qualifications & Experience
* Deep understanding of Operations categories and end‑to‑end contract lifecycle.
* Experience with complex, high‑impact categories and demonstrating transformational value.
* Track record of sourcing strategies, improvement plans, and demand management.
* Proficiency with SAP, MS Office, Ivalua.
* Knowledge of contract law and dispute resolution.
* Advanced influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Self‑directed, proactive, flexible, and results‑oriented, with strong communication and relationship skills.
Education
* Degree (or equivalent experience) – MBA or bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Finance preferred.
