We are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Lancaster. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students in class and in small group or 1:1 settings—particularly those who may need additional help accessing the curriculum, including those with mild to moderate Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
1. Support students across a range of subjects under the guidance of the class teacher.
2. Deliver interventions in small groups or 1:1 where appropriate.
3. Adapt classroom resources to meet individual learning needs.
4. Foster a safe and supportive environment for all learners.
5. Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
6. Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
7. Ideally have experience working with young people in a secondary school setting.
8. Be proactive, flexible and committed to supporting students of all abilities.
9. Be confident supporting pupils with varying levels of need, including SEND.
10. Be willing to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
11. Be committed to ongoing professional development.

Salary
£475 to £525 per week
Dependent on experience, qualifications, and role responsibilities.
