Youll join a friendly and committed payroll team within Transformative Business Services (TBS), where we take pride in delivering a reliable and trusted service on behalf of our client MPS (circa 85,000 employees) across 3 payrolls & 2 pensioner payrolls. Youll be part of a supportive culture where colleagues share knowledge, help each other out and work together to provide a great service to our customers. This role is hybrid, with Newport as your base, and youll be in the office twice per week – Tuesday and Wednesday.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver accurate weekly and monthly payrolls within set deadlines and in line with legislation, terms and conditions and audit requirements.</li><li>Investigate and resolve complex pay queries, ensuring customers understand changes that affect their pay.</li><li>Validate temporary and permanent payroll changes, ensuring appropriate checking and control mechanisms are followed.</li><li>Complete manual underpayments and overpayments accurately and raise payments where appropriate.</li><li>Ensure statutory, legislative and terms and conditions documentation is maintained, up to date and accessible to the wider team.</li><li>Produce core payroll outputs for allocated payrolls, with the opportunity to support higher-level activities as required.</li></ul><h3>What Youll Bring</h3><ul><li>Experience delivering a high standard of customer service.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and high-quality data input skills.</li><li>Ability to prioritise workloads effectively in a fast-paced office environment.</li><li>Experience working with a high degree of accuracy.</li><li>Ability to build positive working relationships and work effectively as part of a team.</li></ul><h3>It Would Be Great If You Had</h3><ul><li>Experience working in payroll or finance.</li><li>CIPP Payroll Technician certification or equivalent experience.</li><li>Experience contributing to process improvements within payroll operations.</li></ul><h3>Job Details</h3><p>Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.</p><p>Location: Hybrid – Newport, 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday).</p><p>Security Clearance Level: NPVV2.</p><p>Internal Recruiter: Becky.</p><p>Salary: £25,375 per annum.</p><h3>Benefits</h3><p>25 days annual leave with the choice to buy additional days, health cash plan, life assurance and pension.</p></div>
