We are working with a leading PLC who are looking for an experienced Responsible Business Manager to join their team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact as the business progresses towards its ambitious Net Zero target within the next 15 years.
Overview
Sitting within the Communications team, you will be the driving force behind the company’s Responsible Business strategy, ensuring it is embedded across the organisation and visible to stakeholders, employees, and clients alike.
Responsibilities
* Developing and delivering Responsible Business initiatives aligned to the company strategy
* Working closely with Marketing & Communications Directors and senior stakeholders across the business
* Partnering with external specialists to monitor and reduce carbon footprint, supporting the company’s Net Zero journey
* Managing the sustainability taskforce and collaborating with partners, clients, and industry bodies to promote ESG best practice
* Providing ESG data and content for tenders, proposals, and internal communications
* Leading community engagement, charity partnerships, fundraising, and employee volunteering initiatives
* Acting as the voice of ESG across the business, building knowledge, encouraging engagement, and embedding cultural change
About You / Qualifications
* Experience within sustainability, ESG or responsible business (not necessarily at a senior level)
* Background in charitable fundraising or community engagement
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
* Experience analysing and reporting ESG data and producing company-wide reports
* Confidence in managing cross-functional projects (HR, Marketing, Communications etc.)
* Experience working in a large organisation would be advantageous
What’s on Offer
* Salary: around £45,000
* Hybrid working: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote
