What you’ll Do
Work within the Technical and Quality team and discover an exciting opportunity to take on an integral role, new to the business here at Joules Head Office.
Expect to be accountable for leading and developing a team of Senior Garment Technologists, ensuring all products meet the company’s quality, fit and compliance standards from development through to production. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, coaching and training team members and conducting regular one-to-one meetings to support performance, skill growth and professional development.
Leadership & People Management
* Lead, motivate, and support the garment technologist team to deliver on company quality and fit standards.
* Alongside the Compliance and quality manager set clear objectives, KPIs and performance expectations for the team.
* Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews and personal development plans.
* Identify training needs and provide technical coaching, skills workshops and mentoring.
* Foster a collaborative, supportive and solution-focused team culture.
* Manage team workload allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
Technical & Product
* Ensure that the teams are conducting seasonal fit reviews.
* Support the team with resolving complex technical or quality issues, liaising with suppliers, factories and internal teams, engaging key stakeholders, when relevant.
* Support team to drive innovation in construction methods, materials and sustainability practices.
* Understand core volume line programmes across the business and support the teams with quality control and risk assessment processes.
* Oversee and support the implementation of processes ensuring internal teams and suppliers are updated and clear.
What You’ll Bring
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Garment Technology, Fashion Technology or related discipline.
* Extensive experience within a Senior Garment Technologist role, with management and leadership responsibilities.
* Proven track record of managing fit processes from concept to production.
* Strong womenswear experience.
* Experience working with offshore suppliers and factories.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, product testing, and compliance standards.
* You must be a strong team player.
* Excellent garment construction and fabric knowledge across multiple product categories.
* Proven ability to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Proactive problem-solving mindset with a continuous improvement focus.
