Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Kidderminster
Salary: £52,149 per annum + overtime (earnings up to £60,000+)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days & Nights (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)
We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business. The Role:
* Carry out mechanical maintenance on heavy plant and production equipment
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
* Diagnose faults across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
* Perform bearing fitting and alignment
* Maintain high safety and quality standards in a safety-critical environment
* Contribute to continuous improvement and downtime reduction
* Work collaboratively within a shift-based engineering team
This is a varied, hands-on position where you’ll utilise and develop skills in: Fitting, fabrication, welding, and plant servicing.
About You:
You’ll be a mechanically biased engineer with:
* Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Experience in heavy industry or manufacturing environments
* Strong fault-finding skills across hydraulics, pneumatics & drive systems
* Experience with bearing fitting & alignment
* Arc & MIG welding and basic fabrication skills
* Knowledge of cutting and grinding safety regulations
