Job Description
3. Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of financial and cost‑benefit models.
4. Analyse complex data, financial metrics, budgets and business cases to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
5. Produce clear, insightful reports for senior stakeholders, including programme boards and leadership groups.
6. Support the development of financial strategies and ensure compliance with public‑sector financial frameworks.
7. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, challenging assumptions where needed to drive informed decision‑making.
8. Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning linked to the programme's activities.
9. Represent finance in programme meetings and act as the key point of contact for modelling‑
The Successful Applicant
10. CCAB‑qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong analytical skills.
11. Comfortable handling highly complex financial and statistical information
12. Experienced in financial modelling, investment appraisals and interpreting large datasets
13. Confident working with senior stakeholders and challenging assumptions constructively
14. A self‑starter with excellent judgement, problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
15. Strong communicator who can explain complex concepts clearly to non‑finance colleagues
16. Advanced Excel and strong IT skills, with experience in process automation or improvements beneficial.
17. Able to work independently while building positive cross‑functional relationships
