Our client, in the Greater Exeter area, is seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in modernising their IT infrastructure while providing essential technical support. The successful candidate will analyse existing systems, rmend improvements, and help maintain a robust IT environment. 1. Supporting the modernisation of all aspects of IT within the business
2. Assisting the Support desk with technical enquiries and issue resolution
3. Monitoring and maintaining all infrastructureponents to ensure optimal performance
4. Analysing existing systems and researching/implementing improvements
5. Undertaking regular patch and upgrade activities across the network
6. Providing business-focused reporting and information as required
7. Configuring end-user devices (hardware setup, policy management,pliance)
8. Producing clear, concise documentation for both end users and the support team
What you'll need to succeed
9. Proven experience with Windows Server 2016–2019 environments
10. Extensive networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, subnetting, and VLANs
11. Proficiency with Office/Microsoft 365 (F through to E suites)
12. Strong understanding of modern identity management and security protocols
13. Experience with Azure (PaaS, IaaS), including security andernance aspects
14. Capability to configure firewalls and perform advanced threat hunting
15. Knowledge of security tools and vulnerability management practices
16. Excellent documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
17. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
18. Strongmunication skills to interface with colleagues at all technical levels
