Overview
To manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; and where applicable, ownership of related customer and colleague journeys, develop the product strategy, drive change through Barclays execution teams, make key decisions in the product lifecycle and own associated outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank, achieved through appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Develop customer-level strategies & solutions tailored to customers’ needs.
* Act as subject‑matter expert in the applicable Product/Proposition team and advise stakeholders at all levels on the application of existing and new products/propositions and related customer and colleague journeys.
* Develop product propositions and/or service strategy, define priorities for delivering outcomes, and lead execution of the priorities.
* Develop commercial and business models with a strong understanding of the financial drivers of the P&L for the relevant segment, proposition, or journey.
* Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance, and potential risks associated with development and launch of new products.
* Monitor market trends and analyse feedback from internal employees and target customers through prototypes, user testing sessions, and beta programs to identify improvement areas before launch.
* Manage comprehensive launch plans and technical deployments, establishing rollout timelines, marketing strategies, training initiatives and communication channels to promote effective launches.
* Monitor key metrics such as adoption rates, usage patterns, customer satisfaction (including complaints), and revenue generation to assess product performance against goals.

Skill & Qualification Requirements
* Demonstrable experience of working with and managing a broad range of stakeholders in a matrix environment.
* Product acquisition strategy experience.
* Experience in or working closely with marketing functions.
* Considerable understanding of customer journey management and improvement.
* Experience of using data to make decisions and recommendations.
* Intermediate level of Excel and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge and application of agile ways of working methodology.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Experience in product management/ownership (highly valued).
Location
This role can be based in London, Northampton, Manchester, or Glasgow.
