This position is working in a metal recycling shredder plant, assisting with maintaining fixed plant machinery to best practice standards and keeping production at the highest possible level. Working in the Avonmouth engineering team, supervised by knowledgeable and supportive Site Manager.
Shift Pattern
1. 2 weeks days (40 hours, 8hr shifts, Monday – Friday)
2. 2 weeks nights (40 hours, 10 hr shifts, Monday – Thursday)
3. Overtime and weekends regularly available
4. Basic rate of £17.45 / hour paid weekly (Basic annual £42k, average £55k+)
5. Premium Shift Rate x1.33 for Nights
6. Overtime Shift Rate x1.5 for Saturdays, x2 for Sundays

12. Immediately respond and assist in the correction of plant breakdowns.
13. Provide technical support to Supervisors in plant operation.
14. Assist site to maintain plant availability and production at highest possible level.
15. Take personal responsibility for all Safety, Health, Environment, Community, and Sustainability policies, procedures, and initiatives.
16. Support diversity and inclusion, positive employee relations, and teamwork.
17. Support cost management measures and effectively adhere to budgetary requirements.
18. Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality requirements.
19. Support training and performance-management initiatives.
