This role is critical in driving data quality improvements and transformation initiatives across various financial products. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including engineering teams, product owners, and functional SMEs, ensuring the efficient delivery of data-driven solutions aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements. Key Skills Required Experience: 7–12 years as a Business Analyst, specifically within Data Transformation or Data Quality Programs at major Banks or Financial Institutions. Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial products such as loans, equities, and derivatives, including both exchange-traded and OTC instruments (e.g., interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, equity swaps, credit event processing). Data & Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Data Analysis, Transformation, and Quality Frameworks using tools like Knime and Collibra. Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Lineage, and the use of Data Quality Scorecards. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with key regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, CCAR, and FRTB, and their implications on data reporting and compliance. Business Analysis & Communication: Proficient in documenting business requirements and workflows, with consistent engagement with senior stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Industry Expertise: Proven experience applying all core skillsData Analysis, Product Knowledge, Regulatory Compliance, and Stakeholder Engagement within the Banking and Financial Services domain. Key Responsibilities Analyze Financial Products: Conduct detailed analysis and documentation of data flows for financial products like loans, equities, and derivatives, identifying data quality gaps and improvement areas. Data Quality Metrics: Develop and apply key metrics to assess data quality across systems and products, identifying opportunities for enhancement. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve data quality issues, including manual adjustments, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver long-term solutions. Stakeholder Engagement: Drive prioritization discussions with stakeholders using data- driven insights, aligning initiatives with key business objectives. Impact Assessment & Reporting: Present findings on data quality issues, risk assessments, and project delivery updates to senior stakeholders regularly. Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with regulatory reporting teams to assess the impact of data quality on compliance (e.g., Basel, CCAR, FRTB), ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Market Risk Analytics, Front Office, and other business units to deliver meaningful reporting and analytics that support strategic goals.
