Overview
The Lead Clinician will manage our in-house Clinical Team at The Shires – Oakham / Stretton in Rutland. The postholder will work collaboratively with the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role is split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex needs related to autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and SEMH. Meeting EHCP needs will be a primary focus, target-led via OFG clinical models embedded into practice. The postholder will coordinate line management of the onsite clinical team and lead service development of the school-based clinical service alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
Location: The Shires Stretton / Oakham, Rutland, East Midlands LE15 7GT / LE15 6JB – The Shires (Oakham Shires, Stretton Shires School; Education - Options Autism). This is part of Outcomes First Group.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate the in-house Clinical Team at The Shires – Oakham / Stretton
* Collaborate with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead to deliver a clinic-based service within the education setting
* Provide bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex profiles of need resulting from autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH
* Focus on meeting EHCP goals using OFG’s all, group and individual clinical approaches
* Coordinate line management and support for the onsite clinical team
* Lead on service development of the school-based clinical provision
* Promote a person-centred, safeguarding-focused approach with pupils at the forefront
Essential Criteria
* Degree qualification in a relevant discipline
* Valid professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS)
* Experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
* Clear and concise clinical and research reporting
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently and adapt to a growing clinical service
* Experience of multi-professional working within the designated specialty (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Location and hours
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent (term-time only or flexible around full-time considered based on circumstances)
Salary
£50,000 – £60,000 dependent on experience
