Working in line with clearly defined standards which comply with national policies and company procedures, the Housekeeper Team Lead will be responsible for leading and supervising the housekeeping team to ensure a high standard of cleaning throughout the hospital.
This is a part-time position (30 hpw)
Working hours: 14:00 to 20:00, Monday and Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Main duties of the job
As Housekeeper Team Lead, you will manage the housekeeping team, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to required standards. You will monitor team performance, address concerns, and conduct performance reviews and one-to-ones.
You will train new staff, ensuring they are competent with hospital cleaning protocols and equipment.
Your team will ensure all hospital areas are cleaned according to specific requirements, including floors, surfaces, walls, doors, windows, handles, switches, and internal glass areas. You will oversee the cleanliness of toilets, manage laundry collection, and prepare linen for collection.
You will maintain records to ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and monitor for hazards, ensuring safety issues are addressed promptly.

You should be an effective communicator, comfortable with IT, and knowledgeable of health and safety and COSHH regulations. Pride in your work, attention to detail, and leadership qualities are essential.
