Job Opportunity: Fabric Engineer at The Cube, Birmingham
Would you like to be part of our maintenance team at The Cube in Birmingham? We are currently seeking a Fabric Engineer to work alongside our handyman and maintenance engineer on site.
As a Fabric Engineer, your role will involve working as part of a team to effectively deliver both preventative and reactive facilities maintenance, following safety guidelines, adhering to timescales, and managing budgets.
1. Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure the smooth operation of the site, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
2. Follow the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule; work collaboratively to deliver tasks efficiently, on time, and within budget.
3. Maintain plant rooms, roofs, and fire exits to company standards, ensuring all plant and equipment are properly maintained.
4. Be proactive, use your initiative, and take ownership of situations.
5. Proactively identify potential safety hazards and be prepared to undertake emergency actions if required.
6. Ensure all work complies with H&S requirements.
7. Work courteously and professionally with team members and assist with queries from members.
8. Collaborate with the lead engineer and report back to the client.
This role is suitable for someone with relevant knowledge and experience who enjoys the varied nature of facilities management and strives to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our facilities.
To be successful, candidates should ideally have:
* NVQ or A Level 2 qualification, City & Guilds equivalent or higher, or be working towards it.
* Relevant experience in a similar environment.
* The ability to work independently from instructions and make decisions as needed.
* A friendly and approachable manner with excellent communication skills.
* Good attention to detail and strong time management skills.
