A top-tier consulting firm is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with experience in the retail banking sector in either strategic procurement, transactional procurement, enabling procurement, or Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM). This individual will take part in high level engagement centred around understanding the role that automation and AI plays within one of the below 4 areas including understanding current usage, extent to which AI and automation has been implemented already, potential benefits, reimagining what AI and automation can do across procurement in the retail banking sector more generally.
Four areas of interest for SMEs:
* Strategic Procurement (e.g. category management, supplier relationship management, deal governance)
* Transactional Procurement (e.g. requisition-to-order support, operational purchasing, vendor master data management)
* Enabling Procurement (e.g. contract management, market intelligence, sustainability & compliance)
* Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) (e.g. due diligence, ongoing monitoring, policy development)
Responsibilities:
* Advise on automation and AI opportunity/implementation within the procurement domain in which they hold expertise.
* Communicate effectively on the current and future state of procurement technology within the retail banking sector and the potential changes posed by AI.
* Interact with senior level stakeholders from a top-tier consulting firm.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in TPRM within a large financial institution, ideally a retail bank
* Strong understanding of retail banking operations and vendor ecosystems
* Proven ability to rethink and redesign risk management processes
* Executive presence and communication skills to engage senior stakeholders
* Consulting experience is a plus, but not essential
