Role Overview
Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering electrical infrastructure projects from LV up to 132kV. You'll oversee project managers, site managers, commercial and planning personnel, and site teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery. Work closely with clients, DNOs/TNOs, suppliers, and internal teams to manage construction, commissioning, and compliance. Support business development, tendering, and innovation to improve safety, quality, and efficiency across a £20m annual project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of operational and technical specialists.
* Oversee installation and commissioning of electrical systems up to 132kV.
* Ensure compliance with safety rules and industry standards.
* Monitor project progress, costs, risks, and variations.
* Collaborate with design and commercial teams to develop and deliver project programmes.
* Produce monthly progress reports and support tendering activities.
* Manage training, competence, and authorisations of site teams.
* Liaise with DNOs, TNOs, IDNOs, and private network operators to define scope and responsibilities.
* Ensure contestable works meet DNO/TNO standards and commissioning requirements.
* Champion SHE leadership and embed safety into project lifecycle.

* Full accountability for delivering major projects safely, on time, and within budget.
* Lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery.
Team & Stakeholder Dimensions
* Directly manage ~6 employees and external contractors.
* Interface with internal teams, clients, and network operators.
* Represent the company in client meetings and industry forums.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* HNC (Level 4) in Electrical Engineering (Degree preferred).
* Strong knowledge of electrical networks and commissioning up to 132kV.
* Proven leadership of teams (5+ people).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
