Role: Field Service Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire region, UK (live in or around the Oxford area preferred).
Salary: cGBP40k basic + company vehicle + generous call-out allowances (up to GBP7500) + bonus + comprehensive benefits package.
Our client is a globally renowned, 60-year-old company designing, manufacturing and supporting bespoke in vitro diagnostic solutions for worldwide distribution.
We are recruiting an experienced, self-motivated multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to provide high-level technical customer service and support in the Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of automated laboratory equipment used in Clinical and Industrial markets.
Responsibilities
* Perform Installation, Planned Preventative Service, Reactive Repair and Technical Support on a range of automated laboratory equipment.
* Work in various customer-facing environments, including hospitals, laboratories, and blue-chip FMCG clients in the Oxfordshire region.
* Manage vehicle stock inventory efficiently and in line with company guidelines; ensure all activities are completed on time with accurate supporting documentation.
* Attend initial in-house training and participate in external training courses to maintain and enhance knowledge; stay up-to-date with industry developments.
* Assist with project work to meet deadlines and provide on-call customer support as part of the Service Team rota.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and applicable industry regulations, including Health and Safety and site SSOW requirements.
Qualifications
* Essential: live in or around the Oxford area; hold a full UK driving licence.
* Qualified to at least ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline.
* 3+ years of experience in a comparable service or maintenance environment (laboratory or medical equipment experience is advantageous).
* Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels.
