The Installation Engineer will be responsible for the installation of Trimble hardware, including accurately measuring the machine control systems on OEM (Trimble Earthworks, GSC900) dealer machines and customers' construction equipment.

Job Functions:
1. Installation: Providing on-machine installation of SITECH / Trimble equipment across OEMs and customers, including dozers, excavators, graders, pavers, compactors with GCS900, CCS900, DPS900, Earthworks systems.
2. Service: Maintenance, support call-outs, troubleshooting, and support for SITECH / Trimble equipment.
3. Measure & Calibration / Advisory / Consultation: Calibration and re-calibration of machine control equipment in the field.
4. Operations: Supporting installation, calibration, and planning to meet customer requirements.
5. Training & Development: Providing operator training and acting as a trusted technology ambassador.
6. Operational Support: Supporting teams, stocks, vehicles, and improvements as requested.
7. Self-Management: Ensuring activities are fully completed, documented, and meet high standards.
8. Results: Prioritizing customer satisfaction, timely fixes, and high performance.
Specific Skills:
* Mechanical, Hydraulics, or Electronic engineering qualification
* Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic/electrical issues on heavy equipment
* Familiarity with construction site operations and machine control systems
* IOSH, RAMS, CSCS card
* Arc welding experience (useful but not essential)
* Heavy equipment operation experience
* Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office and research ability
Knowledge:
* Experience with construction equipment and technology
* Ground survey/digital field equipment experience
* Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic/electrical issues
* Understanding of installation, calibration, and support processes
* Hands-on learning and supervision by qualified engineers
Accountability:
* Installation and Application Engineers

Education & Experience:
* Experience in OEM or dealer environments in engineering or operations
* Field engineer and technology support experience
* Service environment or workshop experience

This role suits electrically biased plant fitters or controls engineers familiar with the plant industry. On-the-job training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, fault-finding skills, and mechanical/electronic awareness.
