Job Description To assist with the development and management of a high quality, efficient and effective Professional Architectural Group as directed by the Principal Architect all in accordance with the needs and priorities of the Council, relative to work commissions for internal and external Clients. Requirements To assist the Principal Architect in all aspects of administration of the Architectural Practice. To perform all tasks relative to a Career Grade Architect and assist with all aspects of allocated projects from inception to completion. To ensure the timeous provision of appropriate information to the Principal Architect. To assist with Best Value issues relating to the Architectural Practice. To assist with planning and programming of Capital and Revenue works as requested, for all Clients. The Individual Minimum of 2 years experience in an Architectural Practice. BSc (Hons) Architecture (Part 1), Masters (Architecture) (Part 2) or equivalent Willingness to work in a demanding position where a flexible approach is required. Ability to accept delegation. Good organisation skills. Knowledge of architectural procedures and practice. Good analytical and numerical skills. Computer Aided Drafting skills. Good communication skills (both oral and written). Good negotiation skills. Ability to relate well to colleagues, Elected Members and the Public.
