Role:
Our client, an industry leading Freight Forwarder, is on the lookout for a Project Logistics Engineering and Operations Specialist to join their project logistics team.
The role offers an excellent opportunity for both career starters and experienced professionals to develop expertise in complex project cargo management, working on challenging shipments across various industries including oil & gas, renewable energy, construction and manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, coordinate, and manage project logistics operations to ensure the safe, cost-efficient, and on-time transport of oversized, overweight, and high-value cargo worldwide.
* Evaluate cargo specifications, dimensions, and weight distribution to design safe and effective lifting and transport solutions.
* Support the development of detailed transport engineering plans for heavy-lift and oversized cargo.
* Communicate and coordinate with ports, terminals, shipping lines, and specialized transport providers.
* Supervise cargo handling activities, including loading, securing, and discharging operations.
* Track project progress and deliver regular status updates to project managers.
* Manage project documentation, including permits, certifications, and compliance records.
* Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients throughout project execution.
Requirements:
* For Entry-level, Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or related discipline) or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 2-3 years logistics, transport or related industry experience.
* Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures an advantage
* CAD Software experience a distinct advantage
* Previous experience in oil & gas, renewable energy, or construction industries
* Foreign language skills an advantage
