Heart Heroes is a growing charity that supports children living with congenital heart disease and their families across the Southwest and South Wales. They provide events, activities, and emotional support to help families feel less isolated and more connected.

As a Charity Manager, you will:
Be responsible for turning our strategy into action
Lead and manage staff and volunteers, overseeing recruitment, and fostering a collaborative culture
Manage the day-to-day operations and overseeing programme delivery to ensure our services meet the needs of families
Write clear, persuasive, and empathetic bids for grants and funding opportunities, as well as supporting the CEO with fundraising strategies
Work with the Treasurer to oversee budgets and ensure compliance with charity law, safeguarding, and data protection
To be successful as a Charity Manager, you will:
Have proven experience in operations or senior management, either within a charity or a transferable sector. You should also have:
Strong leadership and people management skills
Demonstrable experience in funding applications or bid writing
An understanding of finance, budgets, and charity governance
The ability to empathise with and advocate for children and families
A passion for making a difference
My client is offering an annual salary of up to £42,000 depending on experience.
