Overview
Sales & Application Engineer role at SPX Cooling Tech, LLC in Worcester. This hybrid position blends engineering expertise with commercial development to support new cooling tower sales by reviewing RFQs, assessing specifications, designing solutions, and helping grow direct sales.
Responsibilities
* Review RFQs, specifications, and consultant drawings to recommend the best solutions.
* Perform technical selections and system designs using SPX tools.
* Support the sales team with proposals, quotations, and customer meetings.
* Provide technical guidance to consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
* Act as a trusted technical point of contact, ensuring solutions meet customer needs.
Qualifications
* Engineering background (Mechanical or equivalent), ideally with experience in chiller, cooling, or HVAC systems.
* Strong understanding of heat loads, system design, sizing, flow rates, and motors.
* Interest in sales and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a technical mindset.
* Able to commute to Worcester.
