Job summary: As Senior Healthcare Technical Officer, you will act as the first point of contact for hospitals requesting emergency deliveries, ensuring that their orders are entered and issued with the utmost efficiency. You will also perform technical and scientific tasks, such as monitoring the temperature of storage units and undertaking maintenance duties, and assist in the training and development of other support staff.
Main duties of the job: You will perform a range of scientific and technical activities related to blood donations, support and train new staff, undertake precise repetitive manipulation of equipment and blood samples, and handle blood bags and equipment. The role requires variable hours, including weekends and bank holidays, and manual handling of equipment up to 13 kgs.

Person Specification
Essential qualifications: Level 4 qualification in a relevant science subject or equivalent knowledge and experience. Essential experience: Supervising others, working with Information Technology such as Microsoft Office.
