Health and Safety Consultant – Utilise your consulting experience across a broad range of clients. This pivotal role provides Health and Safety advice and expertise for a full‑time, field‑based position working from home and visiting clients’ premises, with a focus in Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Leicestershire.
About the Role
You will be a member of the Risk Management Services team, delivering tailored health and safety consultancy. Responsibilities include:
* Conducting site visits and remote surveys to assess risks
* Producing high‑quality Health and Safety reports, audits and action plans
* Translating complex legislation into clear, client‑driven guidance with realistic action plans
* Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and regulatory bodies
* Meeting KPI targets and promoting NFUMutual Risk Management Services
* Ensuring all written outputs are of high standard, within SLA and meet professional standards
* Working field‑based – travel across the Midlands and East region from home
About You
You are an experienced and confident Health and Safety professional with:
* A full UK driver’s licence
* Relevant industry‑recognised qualifications: Holding CertIOSH (essential), L6 Diploma or CMIOSH (desirable)
* Proven experience in a Health and Safety role, ideally in commercial and agricultural settings
* Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on spelling, punctuation and grammar
* A customer‑focused approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to use Microsoft Word to produce high‑standard work
* Self‑motivated, target‑driven and capable of working towards KPIs
* Effective time management and flexibility, putting the customer at heart of all you do
