A Vacancy at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. We have an exciting opportunity for the role of Assistant Service Manager of Department of Medicine for Older People (DMOP) within the Integrated Medicine Division.
We are looking for an individual with clinical experience who has an excellent track record of delivering, strong leadership and analytical skills, coupled with a strong desire to improve and succeed.
Responsibilities
* Support day-to-day operational management of the DMOP departments.
* Support the Service Manager in delivering performance targets, including waiting time targets, contracted activity levels, finance, standards and quality of services, and overseeing daily escalations to the operational team.
* Oversee the doctors 24/7 staffing rota and be responsible for the timely recruitment of junior doctors.
* Line management of Patient pathway coordinators, ward clerks and team leader.
* Work with the Service Manager to understand service priorities/plans and how they impact activity volumes, developing these priorities into detailed activity and capacity adjustments using analytical skills and operational knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills
* Clinical experience with a track record of delivery, leadership and analytical capabilities.
* Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas such as INDEX, SUM, AVERAGE, and IF statements for efficient spreadsheet use.
* Knowledge of NHS performance targets.
