The Role
* Location based in Riverside CMHT
* Permanent contract
* Full‑time position (36 hours per week)
* Shift pattern: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical leadership of junior team members, prioritising workloads and utilising resources appropriately. Experience of appraisal, clinical supervision and support, including caseload management, is required.
* Accountable to the Nurse Team Leader for the management of workload and delegation of tasks to other team members under your supervision.
* Liaise with and act upon referrals from GPs, other primary care workers, consultants, and statutory bodies.
* Provide routine caseload management and clinical supervisory functions to other nursing grades and facilitate the appraisal process for a team within your sphere of responsibility.
* Ensure systems are in place for all grades of nursing staff within your area.
* Offer a leadership/developmental function to nursing staff, supporting career‑long learning, evidence‑based practice and innovation, including continuous quality improvement activities such as setting and monitoring standards of practice.
* Provide an extended supervisory role for nursing staff beyond the immediate team, e.g., other nursing grades, as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* First‑level Registered Mental Nurse
* Significant post‑registration nursing experience with relevant competences
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills
* Ability to fulfil main duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description
