We are seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic team within our Aerospace Business Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting bids, overseeing and managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, expertise in project planning, customer and stakeholder management.
This role is suitable for a candidate with proven project management experience who is looking to progress their career in a fast-moving company with a worldwide customer base.
This role will be based in our Preston office with occasional travel to client sites as required. We support flexible working, allowing employees to combine office and remote work.

Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of Aerospace projects in accordance with company procedures, reporting to the Programme Delivery Lead.
* Support the Bid Phase: prepare proposals, capture requirements, define scope, estimate project costs, and schedule.
* Prepare project documentation, including Project Launch Packs, Management Plans, schedules, budgets, and tracking registers.
* Identify and mitigate risks following company procedures.
* Track and monitor project progress to meet time, cost, and quality standards.
* Manage contract changes and ensure adherence to processes.
* Raise and escalate issues, risks, and potential problems promptly.
* Update budgets, estimate completion costs, and manage customer invoicing.
* Represent project demand accurately in the business forecasting system.
* Manage project team responsibilities alongside Capability business units.
* Build strong customer relationships and ensure clear communication.
* Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
* Support the implementation of best practice project management and process improvements.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
* Recognised Project Management qualification: PMP or APM certification preferred.
