About the role
The position is onsite, looking after VMI stock for the customer and performing administrative tasks as required. You will work closely with the customer’s engineering team, attend meetings, maintain site cleanliness, manage deliveries, put stock away, and use systems for inventory control. You will also request or chase parts orders in the office.
Key responsibilities
- Receive morning deliveries and put them into required VMI production areas.
- Serve as onsite point of contact, liaising with the customer to address requirements, queries, or concerns.
- Order parts needed for daily replenishment after VMI replenishment.
- Conduct daily/weekly stock checks to reflect contract requirements.
- Manage stores consumables, order books, and label products and racking.
- Ask for new parts and chase parts orders.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment across all onsite VMI and storage areas.
What we’re looking for
- Engineering or manufacturing sector experience preferred.
- Warehouse or stores background with stock checking experience.
- Full driving licence (preferred).
- Customer-focused with strong service delivery orientation.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and numerical skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time.
