As our infrastructure division continues to grow, we are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Geologist or Engineering Geologist to join us. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects across the UK, helping to ensure the safety and stability of building foundations.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional to join our Geotechnical Team. You will assist experts in testing and monitoring foundations, gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills in a specialized area. This position is ideal for those seeking professional growth and the opportunity to work on exciting, varied projects in a supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparing Health & Safety documentation before and during site work, assisting with the management of operative safety, and promoting a safe working environment
2. Assisting with the planning, supervision, and scheduling of ground investigation projects across the UK
3. Logging soil and rock samples according to specification and relevant standards (BS5930:2015+A1:2020)
4. Maintaining accurate field records of tasks performed
5. Conducting in-situ testing and sampling following technical standards
6. Liaising with clients, engineers, and contractors throughout site operations
7. Performing post-site monitoring visits
8. Managing and collating site data using company software systems
9. Compiling factual reports
10. Adhering to company Health and Safety policies
To be successful in this role, you will need:
11. A degree-level qualification in a geotechnical discipline
12. A full UK driving licence
13. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
14. Strong communication skills at all levels
15. Good attention to detail
16. Flexibility, mobility, and commitment
