Planning and Supply Chain Administrator

This role would suit an organised and proactive administrator with experience in manufacturing planning and supply chain environments. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working with systems, managing multiple tasks, and supporting cross-functional teams, while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines and contributing to smooth day-to day operations. It will provide opportunity to learn and develop wider skills and experience in production planning, logistics and supply chain operations.
Job Purpose:
The Planning & Supply Chain Administrator supports a busy planning and supply chain operation. The position focuses primarily on planning support and administration, inventory control, system accuracy, data management and supply chain reporting within a flexible packaging manufacturing environment. The role supports planning accuracy, adherence to plan, on-time delivery, optimization of inventory levels, and ensures manufacturing teams have all documentation and materials required to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and distribute daily shop floor manufacturing documentation
* Update ERP system with job completion information including document scanning and updating of setting sheets
* Conduct material and inventory stock checks to ensure availability and readiness for production and avoid downtime
* Support planning team with updating the production plan across multiple platforms and managing ERP system accuracy
* Develop, produce and maintain standardised SOPs for Planning, Logistics and Supply Chain to support compliance and cross-functional training.
* Track and report key planning and supply chain KPIs including OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory accuracy and schedule adherence
* Update various Supply Chain dashboards to provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the Supply Chain Director and wider business
* Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels to minimize shortages and excess stock.
* Liaise with suppliers to confirm lead times, deliveries, and resolve supply issues.
* Support production planning activities in the event of holidays and absence
* Collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
* Assist with stock counts, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives where required.
* Provide support as necessary within Logistics and Distribution
When You'll Be Working:
Monday to Friday 07.30am to 16.00pm with a 60 minute unpaid lunch break (37.5 hour)
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum 2–3 years' experience in planning, logistics, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
* Or graduate with qualification in a related field
* Have developed and produced Standard Operating Procedures
* Experience in flexible packaging, printing, converting, or plastics manufacturing beneficial but not essential.
* Good working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Skills & Competencies:

Working Conditions:
This role is primarily office-based within a manufacturing facility, with regular interaction on the production floor and warehouse. May require occasional overtime and flexible working to meet production deadlines or support inventory counts.
