Automotive Delivery Manager at TieTalent


Overview

Automotive Delivery Manager - £37,000 - £42,000 per annum. We are Mantra Learning, the UK's leading Logistics learning and development organisation. We are an Ofsted grade 2 independent training provider who have specialised in providing training within the sector for over 56 years. The Manchester site is well established as the largest specialist logistics training facility in the UK. Through our two key brands, The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy we help thousands of individuals each year to gain new skills. This enables our learners to obtain employment within the logistics sector and drives the long-term growth of the industry. We work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including Aldi, Wincanton and AO, delivering approximately 400 Apprenticeships, over 2500 Large Goods Vehicle licences and 1,100 Forklift Truck licences each year.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Tutor to join our friendly team. The position is full-time, working 37.5 hours a week based in Middleton, Greater Manchester. Flexibility will be required occasionally to support our after-hours delivery model.


Responsibilities

* Oversee the Automotive department, ensuring high-quality delivery of Apprenticeship, Pathway and commercial programmes. Coordinate programme delivery while leading internal quality assurance and activities related to awarding bodies.
* Develop staff to meet teaching, learning, and assessment standards, while reinforcing safeguarding practices.
* Manage the automotive team and oversee the heavy and light vehicle delivery.
* Develop and coordinate business growth, including learner and employer recruitment.
* Develop, coach and support staff within the team to achieve the highest standards.
* Establish excellent communication links with other inter-related departments.
* Lead programme development, including the improvement of profitability and growth.
* Implement, maintain and improve quality improvement systems, including quality checks and observations.
* Achieve key performance targets and ensure all training elements are completed in accordance with requirements and programme guidelines within agreed timescales.
* Deliver quality training and assessment in centre or on company premises to high standards demanded by Mantra Learning Ltd and relevant awarding bodies.
* Lead external audit visits and maintain centre records/systems in the approved format.
* Monitor health and safety at the workplace and promote Mantra Learning products.
* Attend meetings and training sessions to develop knowledge and skills to perform duties and aid business development.
* Produce data to enable programmes to be evaluated and improved; contribute to Self-Assessment and development planning.
* Development of new programmes in response to employer need.
* Undertake any reasonable request made by senior management.


Skills & Qualifications

* Teaching Qualification
* Extensive knowledge and experience of government funded learning.
* Full driving license is essential.


Essential Experience

* Team Leading or management experience.
* Strong multi-tasking capabilities.
* Good IT Skills.
* Flexible approach to working hours.
* Teaching experience.
* Pro-active / Highly successful self-starter.

* Industry experience (Automotive)
