What the Job Involves This role involves carrying out thorough enquiries and reviews of applications made under housing legislation, ensuring decisions are legally robust and timely. You'll build partnerships across sectors, promote modern working practices, and contribute to service improvements. You'll provide coaching, mentoring, and training to staff, collaborate with legal services, and respond to legal challenges. Responsibilities also include managing case file requests, making accommodation decisions, attending court, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of case law. Skills Extensive knowledge of Housing Act 1996 and related legislation Experience with s202 Reviews and legal challenges Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Proficiency with IT systems and digital processes
