We are seeking to appoint a Junior Science Technician to manage practical requests and lead the preparation, delivery, collection, and tidying away of Junior Science practical work across Year 6, Year 7, and Year 8 Biology and Chemistry. The role involves providing technical support for all activities in these areas, assisting in other Science areas when capacity allows, and working as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient use of resources to support the science curriculum.
The position is line managed by the Lead Technician, with day-to-day responsibilities overseen by the Lead Physics Technician.
The salary range for this post is Point 26-28 on the Whitgift Foundation Support Staff Salary Scale. The full-time salary ranges from £39,201 (Point 26) to £41,631 (Point 28) depending on qualifications and experience. The Pro-rata salary range for this part-time role is £31,360 to £33,304.80, reflecting Term Time only.
