We are in the position to recruit an enthusiastic registered nurse to join our nursing team within Midpark Hospital, Glencairn Ward.

Midpark is the region’s Acute Mental Health Hospital which provides inpatient healthcare for patients with a variety of complex mental health needs across 6 wards.

Glencairn Ward supports patients with an older adult functional mental health presentation. The team works collaboratively and in full partnership with the MDT, patients, carers, universities, volunteers and our third sector partners to provide high quality, safe and effective, person centred care.

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be expected to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe effective, patient centred care. The post holder will possess excellent assessment, communication and interpersonal skills with a good understanding of mental health assessment and risk assessment as well as knowledge of mental health legislation. The post holder will help drive local and national practice developments and demonstrate a commitment to providing a positive experience for those persons who require Inpatient care.

Year 3 mental health students about to register in Autumn with the NMC will be consider for this post.
