Job Opportunity: Lead Academy Age Group Coach
Stoke City Football Club, part of the English Football League, is seeking a part-time Lead Academy Age Group Coach to support its Category One status Academy at Clayton Wood Training Ground and various development centre locations.
Reporting to the Head of Academy Coaching, the coach will support and develop young players by planning and delivering weekly programmes aimed at enhancing performance and development.
Main Responsibilities
* Planning, delivering, and evaluating coaching activities.
* Recommending updates to the coaching curriculum.
* Providing reports to the Head of Academy Coaching.
* Attending meetings, workshops, and training courses as required.
* Developing and evaluating player performance.
* Collaborating with Lead Phase Coaches on player progress.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
* Football background as a player or coach.
* UEFA B coaching qualification, FA Youth Modules 3, and working towards Advanced Youth Award.
* Understanding of elite football requirements.
* Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of EPPP requirements.
* Excellent planning and communication skills.
* Experience in an academy environment is desirable.
The role requires flexibility for evening and weekend work. It is a permanent part-time position with training provided.
