A growing UK industrial services and equipment hire business is investing heavily in digital capability to modernise operations, improve logistics efficiency, and scale through smarter systems and data.
We are seeking a Head of Digital Transformation to lead the next phase of the company's digital journey - building a connected technology ecosystem that supports operational efficiency, route optimisation and real-time decision making.
This is a hands-on leadership role, working directly with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to deliver practical digital solutions that improve performance across the business.
The role will focus on:
* Building middleware architecture to connect core operational systems
* Integrating platforms across ERP, hire management, CRM, fleet and finance
* Leading the implementation of a Transport Management System (TMS) to optimise routing, scheduling and fleet utilisation
* Improving data visibility, reporting and operational insight
* Reducing manual processes through automation and digital workflows
* Supporting the business transition into a digitally enabled, technology-driven organisation
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience delivering digital transformation in operational or logistics environments
* Has led systems integration and middleware architecture
* Has implemented TMS, logistics or route optimisation platforms
* Understands multi-site operational businesses
* Can bridge the gap between technology, operations and commercial outcomes
* Is comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-moving SME environment
Experience in hire, logistics, construction, asset-intensive services or distribution environments would be highly beneficial.
