It is essential that you have at least 2-3 years' experience as Project Engineer / Graduate Project Engineer within an automotive manufacturing environment and exposure to injection moulding manufacturing processes. You will need to be degree educated in an engineering discipline. As you will be working inter-departmentally, and liaising with a number of stakeholders, you be a natural communicator, engaging, professional and pro-active.
As Project Engineer you will ensure safety, quality and cost standards are followed and met at each stage of the project, communicate daily with customers and suppliers and the technical team centre members, lead project review meetings and present project status. Additionally, you will address project risks, work with team members to resolve any problems, actively participate in feasibility studies, manufacturing concept reviews, tool / equipment concept and design reviews.
You will need to demonstrate practical use of problem-solving tools (8D, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Charts, 5 why?), have an understanding of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow / Process Map. As part of this role is customer facing, you will demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills regarding new product introduction.
