The Role
As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you’ll be a steady presence through the quiet hours, ensuring safety, stability, and reassurance for children who have experienced trauma. Working as part of a close-knit team, your role will be hands-on and emotionally intelligent - providing practical, physical, and emotional support while maintaining a calm, secure environment throughout the night. This is a role that demands empathy, professionalism, and reflective practice, as you’ll be safeguarding young people during their most vulnerable hours.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Creating a safe and secure environment that supports the wellbeing of young people.
2. Building trust and positive relationships, acting as a consistent role model.
3. Supporting and guiding behaviour to help young people maintain positive routines and outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
4. Willingness to work towards a QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare
5. Commitment to working a shift pattern including sleep in duties + overtime
6. Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
7. Experience in CAMHS or mental health nursing
